Common troubleshooting of auto wheel alignment

1. What is the difference between four- wheel alignment positioning and compensation?

A: The biggest difference is that the measurement is accurate and inaccurate. With the exception of LUB, Bmw and Porsch, all car companies require compensation to ensure accurate four-wheel alignment measurements. LUB, Bmw and Porsch require special pillows, which can be directly attached to the axle from the four small holes in their rims, so no compensation is required. If you have a four-wheel alignment machine, you can measure the four-wheel alignment twice, once without compensation, and once for compensation. If the two measurements are the same, no compensation is required.

2. How to adjust the camber angle will change back to bad, what is the reason?

A: If you use a long slot or a large bolt hole to slide the bracket to change the camber angle, you must use a cam bolt or an eccentric shaft bolt to fix the bracket position. Otherwise, after several months of driving and vibrating, the bracket must be in the long slot or Sliding in the large hole, thus changing the camber angle.

3. What is the reason why the outer edge of the tire wears into a jagged shape?

A: The possible reasons for the wear of the single-wheel rim tire are: 1. The rear wheel drive line is bad. 2. The camber angle and imbalance are not good.

4. When driving, is the steering wheel vibration related to the four-wheel positioning? How to check?

A: The steering wheel vibrates at low speeds, which may be caused by poor front toe. At high speeds (80km/hr), the steering wheel does not oscillate. Unbalanced tires, egg-shaped tires or rims, springs, and wheel bearing wear can cause steering wheel vibration (jitter) and tire block wear.

5. Can you provide a variety of judgment reasons for “grinding tires”?

A: The following conditions and causes of poor tire wear: Center wear: too much inflation. Wear on both sides: insufficient inflation. Single wheel single side (outer or inner) wear: The camber angle is too large or too small.

Both front wheels are worn inside or outside: the toe angle is too small or too large. Feather-like wear: poor toe angle. Block wear: caused by tire vibration (jitter).
