The method of repairing tire
The principle of automobile tire repair is to use glue for vulcanization (the adhesion of rubber depends on vulcanization, including the combination of tire tread and carcass), so as to make up for the above loopholes. Cold mending glue can be vulcanized without heating to bond the film and tire, so when mending the tire, the more glue the better, the right amount can be. Hot mending is due to the use of non cold mending glue, which must be heated in the process of tire mending to promote vulcanization, that is to use electric iron type things to heat the curing press.
1. This is the most primitive method, that is, to enlarge the damaged hole with a sharp tool such as an awl, and then to fill the hole with a rubber strip coated with glue. Advantages: simple operation, low cost, no need to separate the tire hub, no need to carry out dynamic balancing. Disadvantages: using an awl to prop up the hole, expanding the damaged area. At the same time, this method of tire repair is not very durable and prone to air leakage.
2. Mushroom nail tire repair (internal repair) is the most advanced tire repair method at present. It needs to separate the tire from the wheel hub, and it also needs to sit and balance after the completion of tire repair. The difference between mushroom nail and patch tire repair method is that mushroom nail tire repair method can well fill the gap of the damaged hole and avoid the continuous expansion of the damaged part. Advantages: stability, safety disadvantages: high price, requirements for tire wound.
3. Patch repair is the most common method, which is used by most repair shops. The method is to separate the tire from the wheel hub and grind the damaged part inside the tire. In order to make the rubber more easily stick firmly, then clean up the grinding debris, and then apply some special tire repair glue around the damaged part. Stick the patch for tire repair to the damaged part and roll it firmly at the same time. Then apply a layer of rubber to complete the tire repair. Advantages: according to the size of the tire damage can choose different sizes of patches, the price is not expensive. And the effect is good, the stability is relatively high. Disadvantages: this method needs to separate the tire from the wheel hub, and it needs to do dynamic balancing after the completion of tire repair. Relatively speaking, it takes a long time, and the larger damage can not be repaired. Another point is that the damaged area on the outside is directly exposed, which may continue to expand the damaged area when driving, so it needs to be checked from time to time.
4. Tyre fluid tyre fluid is not very popular, now only in some brands of vehicles to replace the spare tire, can save space in the trunk. The stability and durability of the tire repair fluid are not very good.
5. Fire mending (internal mending) fire mending is to paste the patch and then vulcanize it with a vulcanizing machine at high temperature, which can make the patch fit more firmly with the damaged part. This method is mostly suitable for thick tires, such as truck tires, passenger car tires with thin tire wall, and this method of tire repair has higher technical requirements for repairmen, so this method of tire repair is not very extensive.
